Privacy Policy

IsItDown.Services ("IsItDown", "we", "us") is a real-time outage tracker that monitors publicly available status information for third-party cloud, developer, and consumer services. This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we collect from visitors to this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Email alert subscriptions. If you enter your email address on a service status page to receive outage notifications, we store that address together with the service you subscribed to and the date you subscribed. This is the only place on the site where we ask for personal contact information.
• Community outage reports. If you report a service as up or down, we record only the report type and the service it relates to. We do not attach your email, IP address, or any other identifier to these reports.
• Standard server logs. Requests to this site pass through our hosting provider, Cloudflare Workers, which may log technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, and request timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and reliability purposes. We do not cross-reference these logs with the email addresses above.
• Local theme preference. Your light/dark mode choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, and is never transmitted to us.

We do not use cookies, third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session trackers of any kind.

2. How We Use Information

• To email you when the status of a service you subscribed to changes, and again when it recovers.
• To aggregate anonymous community reports into the "Community Outage Pulse" charts shown on status pages.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the report and subscription endpoints (for example, automated spam).

We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to the service you subscribed to.

3. Third-Party Services

This site displays public status information sourced from services' own Atlassian Statuspage APIs and periodic HTTP availability checks; no personal data is sent to those services as part of this process. Brand icons are loaded directly from cdn.simpleicons.org, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts — both may see your IP address as a normal consequence of your browser requesting those assets, under their own respective privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

Subscription email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them or until the underlying subscription is no longer needed. Anonymous community reports are retained in aggregate to compute historical reliability statistics and are not personally identifiable.

5. Your Rights

You can ask us to view, correct, or delete any email address associated with a subscription at any time by contacting support@isitdown.services. We will act on verified requests promptly.

6. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
